6:15 – 7:15 pm: Dominican Bachata workshop with La Clave Cubana (with partners). Bachata is part of the intangible cultural heritage of the Dominican Republic, inspired in part by bolero and son from Cuba. This popular style, notably different from the “sensual” style of dance developed in the 2000s in Europe, features percussive footwork and plenty of fun body movement.
